Self Care Tips & Tricks

from wes scamming

  • CAPS. Even if you don’t think you need it, CAPS is a great place to force you to check in with yourself and examine how you’re feeling. More info here: http://www.wesleyan.edu/caps/
  • create a self care chart to help you know what you need when you need it. Example here: https://couragecoaching.files.wordpress.com/…
  • create a self care box, fill it with things that help you take a minute to check on yourself, could be tea, favorite books, essential oils, coloring books, etc. More ideas here: https://counsellinginnorthumberland.com/…
  • Take walks on campus when you start to feel overwhelmed, or get off campus and take a trip to one of Connecticut’s many many parks (car is needed). Long Lane Farm is also a nice place to take a walk to that’s close enough to campus not to need a car but far enough away to feel like you’re not on campus.
